CENTRE HOSPITALIER FONDATION VALLEE
Workshops of musical practice in partnership with the Vallée Foundation Hospital Center (Gentilly) led by Simon Hénocq and Antoine Viard
4 sessions, 8 hours of workshops An expressive space is offered to a group of participants around an original setup combining the discovery of instrumental practice and sound processing. This setup disperses different "musical stations" with varied sonic colors throughout a stage space: percussive elements, everyday objects enhanced by technology, a flat bass equipped with effect pedals to be operated, a modified and amplified guitar neck, keyboard... This playful approach promotes an environment of exchange and sharing through simple musical concepts and allows for the greatest freedom of content within the framework of an improvised, intuitive, and sensitive practice, involving notions of nuances, dynamics, densities... The 10 participants were able to experiment with different sounds individually, in duos, trios, or with the entire group. Immediate sound processing is done live. A sound restitution of the recorded and mixed pieces, done post hoc by Simon Henocq, took place at the Vallée Foundation in the presence of all participants on Wednesday, May 2nd. Each participant received a 6-track record (approximately 20 minutes of music) of the created sound pieces.
